The Lion Hotel Brewood, Brewood

The hotel was quite cozy in a good way and although the rooms were boiling hot, it made it uncomfortable at night. The staff were outstanding and very friendly, with a lovely touch of offering a glass of bubbly with meals. The location was superb and central, making it easy to find, but there were some issues when reaching out to the manager. The dining experience was excellent with well-cooked food. Overall, a good stay with some minor inconveniences.

The hotel rooms were very tired and needed some TLC, overlooking the busy front road side of the village. Despite the street noise, the rooms were a good size, well furnished, and comfortable. The service was friendly, helpful, and lovely, making me quite happy to stay again. The location was superb for me, especially as a guest with a dog, but the hotel felt slightly overrated. The dining experience was a mixed bag with some highlights and disappointments. The facilities were adequate but could use some improvements.

The hotel was lovely and comfortable, with excellent bathrooms and good coffee and tea-making facilities. However, the rooms were a little on the small size and had a lingering smell of cooking coming from the kitchen below. The service was exceptionally pleasant and professional, but there were some disturbances from loud conversations and shouting by the Staffordshire Grill. The location was in a beautiful village with a nice setting in a market town on a high plinth, though the access for dogs could be improved. The dining experience was good, with thoroughly delicious meals, especially the hot food, but the continental options lacked appeal. Overall, not a bad hotel, but there were occasional slips like the noise and dog access.
